Hello, DBS fans how are you i think you all enjoy Sunday episode which scene you like in yesterday's Episode comment Below. so here are some interesting Topic Today, Why Goku not Chose Ubb for Tournament of Power. i know this is an interesting topic i study searches why Goku did this and Finally i found the Answer this Question. so not wasting the time let get Start


For my Thoughts i Ubb is small & he have less experience for Tournament of Power  But also I don't think Goku knows where he's at on earth to be exact as well he just knows he’ll appear in the future which he does at the end of DBZ.


His powers haven't developed yet, this has been shown at the end of DBZ where Goku has to provoke him for him to release his true powers.

He is mentioned though. These are the lines said in super.



I remember this conversation between Vegeta and Goku in one of the episodes leading up to the Tournament of Power. It is mentioned why he can't complete and it's like Vegeta said

“A newborn wouldn't be able to compete anyway” there’s your answer.

In episode 86 of DBS I believe Dende and Goku also allude to him in their conversation with Goku saying this


as Goku knows he’ll be a powerful fighter and hopes to fight him once he's older.

So The main question is that

1-Was Buu "Too Powerful" for the Tournament of Power?

Before anything; let me make this clear that I don't mean powerful as Buu himself, but as a team member.

So with that in mind think about it like this. Buu in a team setting might just be way to much for the ToP. I will bring up some points to show.

Buu has nearly Perfect Regeneration: So Perfect in fact that if threatened out of bounds, he could just tear or spit off a part of him and keep a new himself in the ring. Which ringout was most likely the only option of defeating him anyway.
Buu's Magic: Every strange power that Buu has is not a weapon, it is a power of him or an extension of himself. Which includes... HEALING. Buu can heal people in nearly any setting. Which for a team like Universe 7 with Goku and Vegeta would make it a very lopsided Tournament. Jiren could beat a Goku but not 50.


Buu's Absorption: In a Battle Royal would be too much as you already are keeping your eyes out for so many other things that you are not worried about stepping on gum.
I think replacing Frieza for Buu was actually very smart coming from a story standpoint. If Buu fought he would either be overpowered or underachieving.

He has some cool abilities and would add a lot of flavor to the arc IMO. However it has been proven that if a character is sufficiently stronger than Buu they can beat he regeneration and wear him out. And some of the character entering the tournament would certainly be too much for him to handle. For example current Golden Frieza would probably wreck Buu. Not to mention Jiren.]


Definitely agree that his healing powers would be a huge asse

2-How do you think Uub will be handled after Dragon Ball Super?

I think everyone will be really pissed if Super doesn't sync up to End of Z. Clearly some things will be quite different. But as long as End of Z can still roughly fit into where Super is at, I'll be fine. (Like Bulma saying 5 years, is already dead, but I don't care becuase she could have just been exaggerating)


With all that said, the same sorta applies to Uub. Nowhere did they say how strong Uub was, just that he put up an okish fight against Goku in Base form. So I'm sure he will just end up Stronger then Buu eventually anyway. Goku will go off to trian him... But it could be for like a month, or a year. Or 5 years, but I doubt it will mean him not seeing his family for 5 years like it was in GT.

Eventually I assume Uub will just become part of the gang, and be as strong as the plot wants him to be. Like all characters always are anyway.

Goku doesn't know who the hell Uub is until the last episode of Dragon Ball Z.

And for reference, yes, Dragon Ball Super is the events that happened between the 10 year gap of the Buu arc and the ending World Tournament that Uub and Goku fought in.


It doesn't make much sense to bring Uub in, he's, at this moment, not even thought or mentioned from any of the characters, they've never met him, and will likely never be mentioned or met in Dragon Ball Super since evidence also suggest that the last episode of Dragon Ball Z is the first time Goku and Uub met.

It's just the timeline, and Super’s place in it.

Well, found out that I am indeed completely WRONG about this whole answer.

Being embarassed and kinda disappointed in myself, I will say I was wrong and that I am thankful that the replies told me otherwise.

Uub was actually mentioned in Dragon Ball Super, but the reason WHY he wasn't chosen wasn't because he wasn’t a good martial artist.


The reason that Uub was not chosen for the ToP was because in the timeline, he is much too young at this time, he only grows to the potential later at the end of Z.

So the whole answer this Questions & reading this. in my opinion UBB is stronger & and he can Fight Other Universe Worrior But UBB has less Experiens\ce For Tournament of Power. Tournament of Power is very Big Platform for all Universe Worriors and Ubb is not ready for this Time that's it.
