Hello everyone, How are you guys, so Today. We will be discussing haki and the truth behind this type of haki. First of all. We know that there are 3 colours of Haki: armament, observation, conqueror, this is very important because that is what happens in most battles.
But in the post, we will only talk about Armament haki, So, don’t delay anymore. Let’s start! I think there are 2 layers of Armament haki. In first layer, you can put black clad armor on your skin/touched objects and use it to strengthen you/it to a point where you pretty much have iron arms/weapons and can grip in for example steel and more.

Additionally devil fruit users solidily in contact with other people’s armament haki, and of course, we have seen this layer in most battles in the One Piece world. Coming to 2nd layer of this haki, you always have a permanent protection on while you are collected. It is invisible to the eye and not shown as layer 1 with black clan armor.
We see the in the case of Big Mom and in the newest case with Kaido who is probably the strongest armament haki user in the series.

In One Piece 923, we saw that kaido took all of Luffy's attacks without receiving any visible damage or any sign of armament activation. We see the same thing with Big Mom. But in the case of Big Mom, she still gets hurt while being in a state of shock.
First, I think it is due to their skin, but after watching One Piece episode 865, in order to use haki's advanced state, the user needs to keep calm as like as Luffy are doing with Katakuri, I think the reason is haki.
